Aaron Tripp, Ph.D.
Senior Pastor
Aaron grew up in church and believed that he was saved because he knew of Jesus. It wasn't until college that Aaron came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ during a mission trip to New York City with Campus Crusade for Christ. While sharing the Gospel with others, Aaron realized that he did not actually have a personal relationship with Christ.
He has been in full-time ministry since 2011 and has been the Senior Pastor at Edgefield First Baptist Church since 2016. He and his wife, Kathryn, have been married since 2011, and they have 3 children: Connor(12), Emma (10), and Hailey (<1 year old). Aaron received his Ph.D. in Christian Leadership from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2024.
Aaron enjoys hunting, teaching self-defense classes (martial arts and firearms), playing guitar, and leading worship. Additionally, Aaron has had the privilege of both training with and serving as a chaplain for the Edgefield County Sheriff's Office for 3 years.
